Solutions for immigration.

1) One solution to fix the growing immigration issue is to mandate E-Verify. We already have a program that prevents illegal immigrants from getting a job in the US, the only problem is that it is not mandatory for employers to use. E-Verify is an internet-based program, and it is operated by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Social Security Administration (SSA). It helps employers find out if an employee applicant is eligible to work in the United States. It is a highly effective solution, the only problem is that it is not mandatory. Some employers may not use it because they can get away with paying illegal immigrants less for the same amount of work. This is why E-Verify needs to be mandated in all states in the United States. Once it is mandated the illegal immigrants will have an extremely difficult time finding a job, causing them to go back to their home countries.

2) Another solution is to improve the work visa program. A significant amount of illegal immigrants in the United States come legally, with visas. “As many as half of them arrive with legal documents, including passport and visa, that permit them to enter the U.S. territory.” They then become illegal immigrants because they stay and continue living in the USA after their visa expires. If they get a visa it is fairly easy for them to do this because there is not strict enforcement on sending them back to their home country after their visa has expired. This is why the government needs to enforce a system that will track down people who have overstayed what their visa permits, and send them to their home country.

3) Another solution for illegal immigration is to create a better job program for them. One of the biggest reasons illegals choose to immigrate to America is for job opportunities, if we make the job opportunities better for them then they won’t need to migrate to the United States illegally. “So rather than spending funds for hiring more patrol borders and wasting time in proposing impractical illegal immigration solutions, why not create a much more effective job program that will open opportunities to non-U.S. workers, so they would no longer have to enter the U.S. territory illegally?” It would be much more effective to spend money on creating job opportunities for them so they won’t want to come here.Illegally.
