Solutions for Reproductive Rights
1) One solution to fix the reproductive rights issue is by making more planned parenthoods and other contraception organizations available to all people. Planned parenthood is a non-profit organization that teaches people about contraception, family planning, and reproductive problems. They welcome any age and any gender. Most of the planned parenthood’s in the US are paid for by medicaid reimbursements for preventive care. Planned parenthood’s don’t only focus on contraceptives specifically they also test patients for cancer and STD’s.”Planned parenthood has 10 million activists, supporters, and donors working for women’s health and our fundamental reproductive rights”. This solution would help solve the reproductive rights issue because it gives all men and women the choice to learn how to prevent reproduction and how and how to be good parents and create a safe and happy life for children.
2)Another way to solve this issue is by making contraceptive items available at all pharmacies without a prescription for all females of childbearing potential. Some women can’t or have trouble getting a prescription from their doctor which puts them at high risk of getting pregnant because they don’t have the opportunity to prevent it. By making contraceptives available at most if not all local pharmacies more women are able to make there own decision on if they want to get pregnant or not. The women who purchase the contraceptives will still have to pay full price but at least this way they will be available to them whenever they need
3)Lastly, the state should stop funding Crisis Pregnancy Centers that spread misleading or false information about reproduction, abortion, pregnancy, STD’s, and contraception. Men and women from all over the US are being told “facts” from Pregnancy Centers such as “being on birth control for long periods of time will mess with your fertility” or “People over the age of 40 can’t take contraceptives”. People are5 being told false information that has to do with there own body. Each and every individual has the right to know 100% real facts about their bodies. By ending funding or completely shutting down all Crisis Pregnancy center that give patients false information more men and women will know the truth about how the human body and reproduction works and, more people will be able to make the best sexual choices for themselves based on true facts.
